MEDIATION:

Certified Circuit Civil Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court (1998). 

Have conducted over 1000 mediations.  

LEGAL EXPERIENCE:

 After graduation from law school, spent four years on active duty with the United States Army, Captain, JAGC, 1983-1987, practicing primarily as a trial counsel prosecuting felonies for the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Armored Division, while stationed  in Hanau and Gelnhausen, Federal Republic of Germany.  Thereafter spent 15 years as insurance defense counsel with Bell, Schuster, Wheeler & Hiers, Pensacola, Florida, litigating primarily in the insurance defense field, defending all manner of personal injury actions including, wrongful death, medical malpractice, products liability, maritime law, premises liability, automobile accidents, and employment law in both state and federal courts throughout the Florida panhandle.   Also litigated insurance coverage cases, ERISA as well as  contract and construction cases.  Opened my current practice in October, 2002, where I now devote 100% of my practice to mediation.

 COURT ADMISSIONS:

Admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Florida and the District of Connecticut and all State Courts in Florida
